Goal 2
Promote recovery and reintegration of women and children survivors of abuse, exploitation and neglect in the beneficiary population

 

Program Objectives

Ensure child-friendly, child-sensitive and efficient mechanisms and structures for case management of abuse both in communities and in-center

  • Strategies
    • Promote tested models on After Care
    • Ensure availability of holistic services
    • Equip partners with appropriate skills in managing victims of abuse
    • Promote/ strengthen community-based rehabilitation
  • Specific Projects
    • Case management in CAPIN and Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPCs)

Provide immediate nurturing and caring shelter environment for neglected and abused children and women

  • Strategies
    • Promote Caring, Healing and Teaching principles in treatment of abused
    • Ensure safety and protection of children in shelter premises
    • Apply Continuous Quality Improvement in management of shelters and quality of services provided
  • Specific Projects
    • Residential/Shelter Program
    • Foster Care

Improve ability of neglected and abused children to recover and transcend their situation

  • Strategies
    • Provide rehabilitation and capacity building opportunities for neglected and abused children
    • Promote/strengthen community-based rehabilitation
    • Ensure that CF-supported programs for Children in conflict with the law are implemented according to stipulations of Philippine Law RA 9344, the Juvenile Justice Welfare Act

Strengthen families in need of healing to ensure a permanent and loving home for reintegrated or fully-recovered children and women

  • Strategies
    • Provide family therapy services to families of abused children and women
    • Provide parental education and livelihood support for self-sufficiency of families



Needs Assessment Elements
All amelioration interventions must examine the following elements prior to the development or conceptualization of projects. Constant monitoring of these elements must also be ensured in the implementation process.
  • Profile of families and their existing culture and practices
  • Profile of poor communities
  • Mechanisms in community to prevent abuse, neglect and exploitation
  • Conditions in community that put children and women at risk of abuse
  • Competence level, attitudes and knowledge of direct service providers
  • Availability of resources and services necessary to run effective programs
  • Support and openness of Local Government Units and concerned stakeholders on Child
    Abuse prevention agenda
  • Availability of common and reliable data
  • Existence of strategies of and services by other Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) or Local Government Units (LGUs)
