Promoting Quality of Life through Reproductive Health
The significance of reproductive health in Consuelo’s agenda is related to the belief that each and every child must be cared for in the best possible way. The Foundation aims to promote Reproductive Health in relation to its agenda to prevent abuse and neglect of children and women.

Program Objectives

Make quality Reproductive Health (RH) and Family Planning (FP) services acceptable and accessible to all who need and want them
- Strategy
- Ensure availability of RH and FP resources
- Heighten campaigns among and within CF networks which include the identification of areas and institutions where RH services are needed
- Proactively seek potential partners among agencies and other institutions which provide direct RH services
- Secure the support of other RH and FP promoting and funding organizations
- Advocate to local governments and other institutions on the promotion of RH and FP services and products

Needs Assessment Elements
In moving RH a step higher, there is a need to look at the current capacities of CF partners as well as their directions in pursuing a non-discriminating track particularly in the area of family planning. Specifically, the following concerns shall be addressed:
- Gaps in accessing, availing and accepting RH information and services which include modern methods of contraception, counseling and referrals, among others
- Available manpower in community and their capability to promote RH and FP initiatives
- Capacity of partners to expand linkages particularly to RH and FP institutions
- Available direct and indirect service community-based providers of RH and FP services and their capacity for more intensive campaign on RH and FP
- Profile of target populations in terms of RH practices, health conditions, income, current family size, household size, cultural practices affecting maternal and child care
- Local ordinances and government mechanisms that support RH and FP such as mapping, tracking and target setting, especially in areas with large family or with young parents
- Other resources and mechanisms in the community that could support RH and FP initiatives such as clinics, outreach services of schools and churches, etc.
